E-Readers, Part 5: Giveaway

No matter your preference, be it Kindle or Nook, everyone needs an e-reader case to keep your device protected. While a practical one will do the job, a cute one will do the job and make you smile. And who has too many smiles? Not I. So to keep your investment protected and cute, I am giving away a Gussy Sews e-reader case that will hold either Kindle or Nook devices.

I adore the e-reader case entitled Tweets in B&W, mainly because it reminds me of my favorite Emily Dickinson poem "Hope is the Thing with Feathers."

However, my giveaway is for the e-reader case of the winner's choice.
Gussy Sews also offers cases in the following prints: Orange Lotus, Candy Stripe, Tangerine Dot, Orange Floral, Gold Kaleidoscope, Blue Bell in Pink, and Orange Polka Dot.

To Enter:
1. Become a follower of Farewell Office.
*This is required for entry, and this will give you one entry.
2. Leave a comment on this post about anything related to e-readers. Love them? Hate them? Own one? Not on my life! Your favorite device? Anything at all.
*This will give you a second entry.

This giveaway will end on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 11:59 CST. The winner will be selected randomly and will be announced on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, and the e-reader case will be ordered and shipped as soon as the winner emails me their preferred case, as well as their contact details.

I hope you found the other posts in my e-reader series informative and clearly written. If you missed any of them or are interested in revisiting them, the list and links are as follows:

E-readers, Part 1: Please don't roll over in your grave, Victor Hugo.

E-readers, Part 2: Sophocles is surely trying to sabotage me because this all sounds Greek.

E-readers, Part 3: South American Jungle to Kindle My Love of Reading or Quiet, Secluded Nook to Escape the World?

E-readers, Part 4: Light my Fire

Good Luck and Happy Reading!

  5. I followed you on the Google link you had. :) Just came by this blog. My daughter has a Nook and she loves it, but this summertime, I won't let her take it to the pool because I'm afraid it will get stolen. Sometimes, regular books are just better.

  6. I agree completely that e-books can never completely take the place of print books. I would also worry, Mandi, that it would get wet! Paper pages just dry off, maybe a little worse for wear, but still readable.

  7. I love holding an actual book in my hand, but I'm pretty fond of ereaders as well!

  8. So do I, Alice! Right now I am going between Where Did You Get This Number? (in print) and The Weird Sisters (on Kindle).

  10. I enjoyed your e reader review. I have recently gotten a Kindle and I love it. Kindles are a lot of fun but they can't replace a real book. :)

  11. Alice, I completely agree with the wet readers! I have a long standing habit of reading while I take a bath at night (helps me unwind) and if I got one, I'd be afraid it would take a permanent "dip." Splashes are just fine for the books, though, although they do get a little crinkly. :)

  12. Oh I can't tell you have many "crinkly" books I have. Some days, the bathtub is the only quiet place in my house. :)

  18. I have a Kindle. ABSOLUTELY love it. I didn't think that I would at first, but I love not having to re-find my place in a book because my toddler boys pulled my bookmark out! Just one of the many advantages.

  22. Oh, I love how excited everyone is about e-readers! I'm a big proponent of reading, and though I'll never give up print books, e-readers have their place. I completely understand, Amy, about "stolen" bookmarks. Sometimes e-readers, no matter which you choose, just make reading more convenient and hopefully encourages us to read more! And Samantha, I didn't realize there were such cute cases either until I discovered Gussy Sews - who also makes other cute items. Unfortunately I bought my case before discovering her so mine is just plain back, but I'm really excited about sending a cute one to one of my readers.

  23. I am following you. :)

I got a Nook 3G and used it for a few months before realizing my friends with Kindles could do things I could not. So, I sold my Nook, saved my birthday money and bought a Kindle. I'm a happy camper.
